What happend to Koho?

Postby marcel » Tue Dec 04, 2012 3:55 pm

It is still a brand under the Adidas-Salamon umbrella with a factory in Finland

More details can be found at this website

Basically..........CCM, Koho, and Jofa merged in the early part of this decade to form 'The Hockey Company' (and traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange)

In 2004, Reebok International bought the Hockey Company

in August 2005, Adidas bought Reebok

The actual contract the NHL has is with Adidas-Salomon holdings (the Rbk jersery, etc).

So, as a company, Koho disappeared in 2002, and Reebok bought it in 2004. According to the company website, the Koho brand is still active as of today (and you can buy Koho equipment in Canada).

CCM bought out KOHO and shut the plant down. That's one way to get rid of the competition!
ITech was bought by Reebok and did the same thing!
