Who else is outraged about the leadership change? What happened to our voice?

I don't think many people understand Australia's system of government. It is not the same as America, we do not directly elect our leaders. We elect local representatives. Who becomes Prime Minister has always been controlled by the factions of each party.

What has taken place is completely within the bounds of constitutional convention and is therefore in no way un-Australian. It must be your conception of what it means to be Australian that is inaccurate.

I was 19 when I voted Labor, and I voted Kevin Rudd, not Julia Gillard. They should have taken this to an early election... They say Kevin Rudd is not the greatest speaker (personally I think he's fine) Julia Gillard is not much better! It's also sad to see a Qld PM go :-(
